For this first edition in Spain, Michael Canitrot presented a show combining electronic music, video-mapping and light shows at the foot of Zaragoza's majestic Pilar Basilica. Over 45,000 spectators gathered to enjoy a unique and memorable experience.
For the occasion, Michael Canitrot invited promising Zaragoza talent DJ Ms Von Disko and internationally renowned DJ and producer David Penn to open the show.
With its 130-meter length, 76-meter width and four majestic towers culminating at 92 meters, the Basilica del Pilar, a true jewel of Spanish architecture, was revealed in a new light thanks to oversized architectural visuals.
Declared a cathedral in 1676 and a basilica in 1948, it has been a national monument since 1904. It houses works by Francisco de Goya, more than ten chapels, a majestic organ and an impressive 16th-century alabaster altarpiece.
