An exceptional concert to showcase the heritage of the Vendée region
The Monumental Tour, in collaboration with the Vendée department, took over the mythical ruins of Maillezais Abbey to create a unique event combining electronic music, video projections, lighting and architecture. Over 4,000 people attended the event.
For its first visit to the Vendée, the Monumental Tour set up shop in the heart of an emblematic heritage site: Maillezais Abbey. The evening's light, laser and video show revealed the Abbey's richness and splendor.
Over the course of the evening, a succession of artists offered exceptional musical performances, while the public strolled around and discovered this exceptional heritage. The program featured some of the biggest names on the French electronic scene, as well as young talents and emerging artists. From 6pm, participants enjoyed a musical aperitif in the heart of the thousand-year-old ruins, overlooking the canals of the Marais Poitevin, with singer Coco, as well as DJs Triptyque and Quentin Schneider from the Warehouse in Nantes.
As night fell, the Abbey was lit up to welcome Folamour, French house music prodigy and one of the leading artists of the new generation. Michael Canitrot then closed the evening with an unforgettable musical set, accompanied by a giant mapping display, offering an immersive experience.
